Ingredients:
8 slices white bread (can be day old…or more, and you can use old hot dog or hamburger rolls)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
6 eggs, beaten
3 cups whole milk
½ t. dry mustard
1 T. Worcestershire Sauce
½ t. salt
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Lightly butter the bread and break into cubes. In an ungreased casserole (2 quart), alternate layers of bread and cheese.
- Mix the remaining ingredients and pour over bread, but do not mix. Cover and refrigerate overnight or up to two days. Bake one hour. Test with a sharp knife.
- You can add cut-up onions, peppers, bacon or ham. It’s also good for lunch.
