As a Mainer in love with her home state, Elaine enjoys helping writers and editors tell the stories of Maine’s people and places. In her role as tourism account executive serving the Maine Office of Tourism, Elaine is responsible for strategic public relations encompassing a wide range of efforts, from targeted pitching and creative content development to nurturing relationships with media and industry partners.
Elaine’s background in economic and community development drives her commitment to Maine’s tourism industry, with acute attention to detail, dedication to client satisfaction, and an energetic passion to honor the communities that make Maine the way life should be.
Elaine specializes in all things travel:
- Itinerary management and planning for travel writers
- Sharing the unique and vibrant stories of Maine through targeted pitches, press releases, and website content
- Advising partners on current issues and trends in public relations
Before joining Marshall Communications, Elaine was:
- An independent grant writer and public relations strategist for Maine brands and nonprofits
- Director of Media and Community Affairs at a central Maine economic development organization
In her spare time, Elaine enjoys:
Baking from her many cookbooks, visiting farms and orchards with her young family, and exploring every nook of Maine. She also enjoys gardening and curling up by the fire with a good book.
Education
Bachelor’s of Anthropology/Sociology at Mount Allison University (Canada), and a Masters of Business Administration for Nonprofit Management at Brandeis University.
