Ingredients:
1 box elbow macaroni
1 8 oz. block of sharp cheddar cheese, thinly sliced
4 tbsp salted butter
One 8 oz. can stewed or crushed tomatoes
3/4 cup whole milk
Instructions:
- Boil macaroni in heavily salted water 6-8 minutes until al dente – drain.
- In a buttered casserole dish, layer macaroni, pads of butter, cheese and tomatoes – repeat layers until you reach the top of the dish, cover with remaining cheese, pour milk over
the dish and top with salt and pepper to taste. - Bake uncovered in a pre-heated 350-degree oven for 25 minutes or until top is melted and bubbly.
