Many people use Twitter as a constant news source with the Twitter feed open or readily available on their computers and handheld devices. They follow the Twitter entities they are interested in and also have a group of individuals that proactively follow their tweets.

As is the case with Facebook, you can include links to video, websites, news articles and more in your Twitter posts. Twitter followers can share your posts in the form of a retweet. They can also respond to your posts by including your Twitter handle in their response. The maximum length of a tweet is 140 characters.

Twitter offers a unique benefit that Facebook does not in that more than just followers will be able to see your tweets, thus enabling you to reach a much broader audience, particularly if the tweets you make provide a lot of value to a wide group of people.
