BOOTHBAY HARBOR, Maine- The popular warm climate sport of stand-up paddle boarding, also known as SUP, is a new activity for guests this summer at Linekin Bay Resort in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. The resort will be one of the first coastal accommodations in New England to offer SUP directly to guests.

At 11 feet 4 inches long and 32 inches wide, the six new Jimmy Styks SUP boards are slightly larger than a standard surf board. The stable boards are designed for entry level paddlers and are propelled with a single, long paddle while standing or kneeling on the board.
"We have a great location on Linekin Bay for guests to explore the shoreline and paddle to Cabbage Island on these great boards," said resort General Manager Mark Osborn. "We are excited to offer a fun and healthy new water activity to all guests."
Other new things for 2012 at New England's only all-inclusive sailing resort include two new pingpong tables and an air hockey table in the Kids Camp building. The awning on the deck of the resort's bar and public restaurant has been replaced with a wooden roof that provides better coverage. Guests can relax in new furniture on the waterfront deck, and several rooms have new carpeting.
Use of SUP boards, sailing lessons, all other resort amenities and three meals a day are included in all-inclusive stays from June 16 to August 25. The resort is minutes from downtown Boothbay Harbor and accommodates 160 guests in rooms or suites in five classic oceanfront lodges, and rustic one-bedroom and family cabins.
