Nancy Marshall Communications to Present Interactive Social Media Workshop
CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine - On Tuesday, Oct. 25, Nancy Marshall Communications (NMC) will present a Social Media Boot Camp for interested businesses and organizations from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Carrabassett Valley Public Library.
This interactive workshop will focus on techniques to increase engagement and the use of paid online advertising to promote products and services through social media such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. NMC will also discuss the rise of mobile marketing and location-based media. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptop, but computers can be provided. Please specify if you need a laptop when you register.
Designed for advanced social media users, NMC asks that participants can answer yes to the following questions:
1. Do you have a personal Facebook profile already set up?
2. Do you have a LinkedIn profile set up?
3. Do you have a Twitter account set up?
4. Are you familiar with Facebook advertising?
5. Are you familiar with Cost per Click advertising?
Greg Glynn of NMC will be presenting the workshop with company founder and CEO Nancy Marshall. Both Marshall and Glynn are tremendous advocates of social media. Glynn currently manages and creates social media content for six clients at the agency. For the last two years, Glynn has been traveling the state speaking about how businesses in Maine can leverage the power of social media. Marshall is an experienced user of social media who has also presented speaking engagements around the state about the return on investment a business can generate through a well-planned social media strategy. She encourages her employees and her clients to capitalize on the new trends and technologies to enhance their work.
“It’s not a matter of whether a business needs to engage in social media to connect with its customers and prospects,” stated Marshall, “it’s a matter of when. And the time is now to get involved because social media is not going away. The conversations about your business are happening online, and you should be part of them. As a matter of fact, the opportunities to engage with customers and prospective customers are increasing each day.”
Cost to participate in this interactive workshop is $150.00 (includes materials and computer use). For more information or to register for this event, contact Shelby Childs at schilds@greaterfranklin.com or call (207) 778-5887. The Social Media Boot Camp is sponsored by the Greater Franklin Development Corporation.
