AUGUSTA, Maine - The Maine Office of Tourism will offer a variety of vacation planning information at the Boston Globe Travel Show Feb. 10 - 12 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston.
The Maine booth (#312) will be located in the U.S.A. section of the trade center. The Office of Tourism will be accompanied by tourism representatives from throughout the state, a State Park Ranger, a Maine maple producer and others who are eager to share their knowledge and help attendees plan their next trip to Maine.
"The Boston Globe Travel Show is one of the exciting travel shows in which we participate, and we are looking forward to sharing information with the residents of the greater Boston area," said Maine Office of Tourism Director Carolann Ouellette.
This year, Maine will also be featured on the demonstration stage. Executive Chef Justin Walker from acclaimed Ogunquit restaurants Arrows and M.C. Perkins Cove will offer his expertise on using local, seasonal ingredients and featuring Maine maple syrup. The demonstration and tasting will take place on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 5 p.m.
On Sunday, Feb. 12 at 1 p.m., Executive Chef Geoffroy Deconinck of mid-coast Maine's renowned Natalie's at Camden Harbour Inn will prepare Meyer Lemon Risotto with Maine shrimp.
Show attendees who sign up at the Maine booth #312 will have an opportunity to win a two-night stay at Inn by the Sea in Cape Elizabeth.
