Scribe, Humorist, Dreamer
Anna spent her formative years in New Gloucester, Maine, on a chicken farm. From a young age, she had a love of adventure and play acting, riding bareback and making her own aprons to be more like Laura Ingalls Wilder of Little House on the Prairie. The state’s wilderness was her playground, with her father taking her and her siblings on epic canoe trips through Maine’s lakes and rivers, an experience she feels gave her the strength of character that has served her well.
While working at The Danforth, a bed and breakfast in Portland, Maine, she realized how much she liked telling guests about all the wonderful things to do in Maine and all the best places to eat. This led her to pursue a degree in communications. And, as a lifelong avid reader with a love of the beauty of language and the written word, becoming a copywriter was the perfect fit for Anna. The fact that it is a job that can be done remotely is a bonus as she moves wherever her husband’s work takes him.
When not reading (or eating), Anna can be found enjoying the outdoors with her husband, two children and dog. She is known at NMC for her quick wit and great sense of humor, two qualities that bring a unique flavor and voice to her writing.
