When the Maine Public Relations Council (MPRC) professional development committee wanted to offer a social media program for our members, Nancy Marshall was the first person I thought of. Her passion for social media as a communication tool is apparent and her expertise in successfully using social media as a communication tool is clear. The workshop she presented was the perfect fit for MPRC. What set this presentation apart is that she not only taught attendees how to choose the appropriate social networks for a particular target audience but also how to establish and measure goals.
Nancy provided practical tools and takeaways that attendees take back to the office and use right away. For example, I left the workshop with strategies for creating a written social media policy, a report template for quarterly website goals, and the tools I needed to clearly define various social media goals and messages.
